I am an anthropological archaeologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the Gettysburg College. My research and teaching interests intersect archaeology, ethnohistory, and critical cultural heritage, with particular emphasis on community identity and social cohesion in the Postclassic Basin of Mexico. I am also interested in how modern communities in central Mexico construct local identities around shared heritage and how that heritage is and is not informed by archaeological research.
